Skillet Brownie Sundae for Two
A mini cast-iron skillet brownie baked until fudgy and served warm with your favorite sundae toppings. Perfect for date night or a shared chocolate treat.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated white sugar
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ cup chocolate chips, plus more for topping
- Sliced strawberries, hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream (optional toppings)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar 1 minute. Add vanilla and egg; whisk 1–2 minutes more.
- Stir in cocoa, flour, salt, baking powder, and chocolate chips until just combined.
- Spread batter into a buttered 5–6 inch iron skillet and top with extra chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake on center rack 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Serve warm with optional toppings.
