The Real Long Island Iced Tea

One true Long Island Iced Tea blueprint—equal measures of the five core spirits, sour mix, and just enough cola to tint the drink.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 fluid ounce vodka
  • 1/2 fluid ounce rum
  • 1/2 fluid ounce gin
  • 1/2 fluid ounce tequila
  • 1/2 fluid ounce triple sec
  • 1 fluid ounce sweet and sour mix
  • 1 fluid ounce cola, or to taste
  • 1 lemon slice

Steps

  1. Assemble everything you need.
  2. Load a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, rum, gin, tequila, triple sec, and sour mix; seal and shake thoroughly.
  3. Strain into a Collins or hurricane glass; finish with a splash of cola for color.
  4. Add a lemon slice (and mint if you want). Enjoy!
