Frozen Old Fashioned

A blended bourbon old fashioned turned icy with frozen cherries and orange, bitters, and simple syrup—a summer take on the classic.

Ingredients

• 2 oz bourbon
• 1/4 cup frozen pitted cherries
• 4 frozen orange wedges, peels removed (about 1/2 orange)
• 3 dashes bitters
• 1 tablespoon simple syrup
• 1 1/2 cups ice
• Orange slice and cherries, for garnish

Steps

1. Combine bourbon, cherries, oranges, bitters, syrup, and ice in a blender and run 30 to 45 seconds until slushy (loosen with 1 to 2 tablespoons water if needed).
2. Pour into a lowball glass and garnish with orange and cherries.
