Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole
This crescent roll breakfast casserole comes together quickly with sausage, creamy cheese, and store-bought dough. Cut into squares and serve hot or cold.
Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package bulk pork sausage
- 1/2 (8 ounce) package Neufchatel cheese, softened (or cream cheese)
- 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain. Add Neufchatel cheese; cook and stir until combined. Remove from heat.
- Unroll crescent rolls and place half into an 8x8-inch glass baking dish, pressing seams together. Top with the sausage mixture and Cheddar, then cover with the remaining crescent rolls.
- Bake until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before cutting into 8 squares.
