Black Garlic Butter Steak and Brie Croissant Melt

Ingredients
- 2 croissants, halved
- 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon black garlic paste (or roasted garlic paste)
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Steps
- Season the steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high and sear 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and stir in the black garlic paste until combined.
- Lightly toast the croissant halves in a pan or toaster oven.
- Layer brie on the bottom halves, add warm steak, drizzle with black garlic butter, and top with the croissant lids.
