Cuban Sandwich
A classic pressed sandwich stacked with roasted pork, ham, and melted Swiss, finished with pickles and a creamy mustard-mayo spread.
Ingredients
- 4 Cuban bread rolls (or French/Italian bread)
- 8 slices ham
- 1 lb roasted pork, thinly sliced
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- Dill pickle slices, thick-cut
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Butter, for grilling
Steps
- Mix the sauces together. Whisk yellow mustard and mayonnaise in a small bowl until smooth.
- Prep the bread. Split the Cuban rolls lengthwise and spread the mustard-mayo on both cut faces.
- Assemble. Pile roasted pork, ham, pickles, and Swiss on the bottom halves, then cap with the tops.
- Grill. Butter the outsides and cook on medium in a panini press or skillet, pressing down, until the crust crisps and the cheese melts. Turn as needed until both sides are golden. Serve hot.
